Hi, I’m Sebastian
My route into this work has been both professional and personal.
I became a financial planner and, during my early career, spent time administering and implementing financial outcomes in divorce. That gave me experience of complex divorce cases and of working alongside family solicitors, mediators, divorce coaches and other professionals.
But divorce is something I also understand from the other side of the table.
I grew up with divorced parents, and later went through divorce myself. I have two children and co-parent 50/50, so I know that separating your finances is rarely just about numbers. It sits alongside decisions about your home, your children, your future and the practical reality of building a different life.
Going through that process made me even more aware of the gap that can exist between professional advice and actually getting everything organised.
That is why I created Seb Gladwish Money.
SGM gives people somewhere to bring the financial pieces together, understand what they have, identify what may be missing and prepare properly for conversations and decisions ahead with support from someone who understands both the professional side of divorce and what it can feel like personally.
My Approach
Divorce can involve an extraordinary amount of information: bank statements, pensions, property, debts, budgets, disclosure forms, emails and legal paperwork. It is easy to feel as though everything is scattered across different places and different conversations.
My role is to help you bring some order to that.
We can work through what you have, what you still need, what questions you want answered and what needs to happen next. The aim isn't to make decisions for you. It is to help you feel more organised, informed and prepared to make them.
Clear, practical support
I focus on financial organisation, budgeting, document collation and preparation. The work is practical and structured, but also human. You don't need to arrive with everything neatly organised — that is often the reason people come to me in the first place.
Professional boundaries
Alongside SGM, I work in a regulated financial planning role and have experience working on divorce cases with other professional advisers.
SGM is entirely separate and does not provide FCA-regulated financial advice or legal advice. Where specialist advice is needed, I can help you understand who you may need to speak to and signpost you towards the appropriate professional.
Money is rarely just about numbers. During divorce it can be tied to your home, your children, security, confidence and some very difficult decisions.
SGM is designed to give you a calm, confidential place to get organised, understand the financial picture and feel better prepared for whatever comes next.
